My approach
Noel Mitchell, MS, LPC-IT
Corporate gal turned therapist
I specialize in working with anxious women who feel burnt out and are longing for more calm and empowerment in their lives. It is essential to me that my clients feel like they find a therapist that is a good match for them! I believe change can occur through a collaborative approach relying on compassion, some humor, and vulnerability. I incorporate mind/body connection, mindfulness, psychoeducation, reviewing thought patterns and meet clients where they are at.
My Background
Prior to becoming a therapist, I explored a variety of careers. I had a career working within the corporate world and the bridal industry. In past careers, I was managing large amounts of inventory and working with mulitple teams which resulted in late nights, high anxiety and self-doubt. While later in my career, I also gained experienced managing a small business. After these experiences, I did not understand why nobody was talking about mental health within the workplace.
It is my goal to ensure my clients do not feel alone in your struggles. I believe these experiences help me work with my clients as I may have some unique insight into their struggles and concerns.
The feeling of being burned out almost always goes deeper so I support clients that seem to be struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, perfectionism, ADHD, and life transitions.
I graduated with my Masters in Science in Clinical Mental Health from Mount Mary University.
My goal is to create a space where you can feel heard, understood, and safe.
